So, it ain’t much, but I finished up and published Guess My Number.
I’ll get a link to it in Google Play once it makes it through whatever pipeline it has to go through.
Worst part for me was to make the 512×512 graphics and the other icons (96×96, 72×72, 48×48, and 36×36). Decided to design a cheezy looking logo in inkscape, and then scale it down for all of the others.
Here’s the 512×512 version:
It ain’t much, but I’ve accomplished by goal of having a published android app.
In the end, even with something as simple as GMN, I wound up with 4 “activities”, a GameData class, an enum and a class to store a history of guesses to report out later.
Next on the docket? Russian Roulette (or, “Don’t Guess My Number 1-6”), Rock-Scissors-Paper, or maybe Feed the Fish. To round out the first 5, I’ve got a “Stock Market” game that’s slightly higher than the level of complexity of the others.
I’m also thinking that since these games are so simple, then other might find their simplicity helpful in learning android development, so I may put them on github.
